The tooth flank is ground to profile accuracy of ±4 µm, and radial runout of the gear rim does not exceed 0.06 mm, minimizing vibration and microseparation at the contact surface—phenomena that lead to fretting and accelerated abrasion with GL-5 mineral oil at 80W-90 or 85W-140 viscosity at operating temperatures up to 130 °C. The hypoid geometry with axis offset of 30–45 mm relative to the ring gear shaft axis ensures smooth torque transmission and increased contact surface area, requiring enhanced lubrication specifications. During assembly, maintain backlash between 0.15–0.30 mm and apply preload to flange bearings with torque of 180–220 Nm, verifying contact pattern coverage exceeding 60% of the tooth surface prior to axle commissioning.
