The bronze bushing for hydraulic cylinders is a precision-machined component manufactured from lead bronze (CuSn8Pb15), functioning as a plain bearing in the clevis eye of the working cylinder attachment. Its primary role is to ensure smooth, controlled rotation about a polished pivot pin, enabling the transmission of cyclic shock loads and pulsating digging forces without loss of geometric integrity. The critical wear mechanism is abrasion and surface deterioration, frequently resulting in hole ovality or galling (metal transfer) under insufficient lubrication conditions, which generates clearance in the joint. Such failure causes digging forces to transmit directly to the pin and clevis eye, dramatically accelerating their wear and potentially leading to structural cracking. Planned bushing replacement as a pair is economically far superior to full-cylinder regeneration or replacement of the expensive pivot pin. Installation requires a hydraulic press to avoid damage to the retaining rings. The internal oil grooves and material selection ensure a durable connection that minimizes the risk of sudden machine downtime.
