L&rsquo;arbre \u00e9tanche est fabriqu\u00e9 en acier 42CrMo4 tremp\u00e9 par induction \u00e0 une duret\u00e9 55\u201362 HRC, avec une rugosit\u00e9 de surface de Ra 0,2\u20130,4 \u00b5m, ce qui assure un bon contact de la l\u00e8vre et minimise l&rsquo;usure abrasive. Le corps du joint est r\u00e9alis\u00e9 en acier profond\u00e9ment emboss\u00e9, tandis que la l\u00e8vre fonctionnelle est en \u00e9lastom\u00e8re FKM r\u00e9sistant aux huiles de r\u00e9ducteur classe GL-5 dans la plage de temp\u00e9rature \u201330 \u00b0C \u00e0 +150 \u00b0C. Un ressort de pouss\u00e9e en fil d&rsquo;acier inoxydable maintient la pression de la l\u00e8vre \u00e0 un niveau assurant l&rsquo;\u00e9tanch\u00e9it\u00e9 \u00e0 une pression statique d&rsquo;huile jusqu&rsquo;\u00e0 0,3 bar et une vitesse tangentielle de l&rsquo;arbre jusqu&rsquo;\u00e0 6 m\/s. Dans les conditions de fonctionnement du r\u00e9ducteur de rotation, le joint est expos\u00e9 au fretting et \u00e0 la fatigue de contact provoqu\u00e9e par les forces radiales de la couronne dent\u00e9e pouvant atteindre plusieurs dizaines de kN, c&rsquo;est pourquoi un centrage correct du logement de montage sans faux-rond ni choc de montage est une condition pour obtenir la dur\u00e9e de vie nominale. Le joint doit \u00eatre remplac\u00e9 avec la bague d&rsquo;\u00e9tanch\u00e9it\u00e9 \u00e0 bride du carter lors de tout d\u00e9montage diagnostique du r\u00e9ducteur ou apr\u00e8s d\u00e9tection
