The multi-spline journals at both shaft ends are ground to dimensional tolerances of Ra \u2264 1.6 \u00b5m, minimizing fretting in the connection with the planetary hub and differential carrier. The shaft transmits torque up to 18,000 Nm with momentary dynamic overloads exceeding 1.3 times nominal rating, typical during start-up or operation over uneven terrain.
